Birchbox October 2014 Review and Giveaway Winner!!!

Ok so now on to what my post is really about.

OK so everyone I LOVE birchbox and every month I have it I love it more and more!

This months box made me so happy i decided to put in a huge order in the birchbox shop :D And I have no regrets of doing so!

But I will do a blog post on that when I get my stuff. So now on to my birchbox

So for 10 bucks a month I think you get some AMAZING products! Every month I am never disappointed I get to try so many new things and find the stuff I like and the stuff I don't. It is really helping me get the hang of makeup too.

So October 2014. I really liked my box! 

And I really like this color purple.....

Again I am going to apologize for my crappy pictures.... I am trying to find my camera.....

This months theme was obsession, which I think fit perfectly. Becasue honestly I have an obsession list. Maybe one day I will have to share it with you guys. But I think it is a super cute theme. 

I wish I could tell my work to hold my calls. But unfortunatly I work at a call center and we have back to back calls most days so this doesn't fly. But whatever. I still get to obsess when I get home. 

Anyways.

So I loved this cute little card. I love that I got to write on it, idk I love stuff like that. Yes I love One Direction. In fact they are on my obsession list. 

Ok so really let's get to what you really came here for, my review on my samples.

That's it, there is my box. My beautiful birchbox. I love it!

Sample 1: Balance Me Wonder Eye Cream; Full Size Retail $38

So not going to lie when I first saw I was reciving this product, I was like why me.... why did this product get chosen for me.... why would I even use this product. But then I read up on it. And let me tell you, I LOVE it! It does a great job on moisturizing under my eyes as well as it helps with my dark circles, that I ALWAYS have and so desperatly try to cover up. And this stuff helps, unfortunately it did not make my list of stuff I was ordering from birchbox but defiantly in the near future, because I love it! It is light feeling and again I love it!

Sample 2: Beauty Protector; Full Size Retail $21.95

I will never ever in my whole life say no to a leave in conditioner. EVER. I go through them like crack. (not that I am on crack... but still) Literally you can ask my husband, the first thing I said about this product was oh I like the feel of the bottle. And honestly, that is enough for me haha. I have used it and I really like it! It keeps my hair soft and silky, and you don't need all that much. Also I am obsessed with smelling things and it smells AWESOME! It reminds me of when I was little and my mom would do hair, it kinda is that smell. It takes me back.

Sample 3: Revealed 2 Eyeshadow Palette Sample in Ballerina; Fill Size Retail $34

These ones are the crappy pictures (the rest of them are too) but sorry... 

This was my absolute FAVORITE sample I got in my birch box! These colors are PERFECT for me. I have worn them everyday since I got them, and becasue I love it so much, I bought the big one! Not only the Revealed 2 but also just the Revealed. I have a problem.... But I LOVED it lots. And once this runs out where am I supposed to get more? I am excited to try all the new colors of eye shadow. I keep staring at the pictures of it just waiting till I can have it and try it out for myself. But seriously these four colors could have not been more me! If anything, just this made my birchbox worth it!

Sample 4: dr. brandt pores no more vacuum cleaner; Full Size Retail $45

So in all honesty I haven't tried this yet.... I am super excited to though. Anything that can help my skin out is a win in my book for sure! I like the smell of it, so that must mean it is awesome haha. 

So I look forward to trying out this product. 

Sample 5: ModelCo Party Proof Lipstick in Kitty Full Size Retail $24

So this was my sample choice. And I chose it because honestly my obsession with lipstick has skyrocketed and I can't get enough of it. This color I like. It is a pinky nude and honestly it is perfect for any occasion. 

I LOVE that birchbox does a sample choice, because then I know each month if I hate the rest of my box at least I am getting one thing I will enjoy. And this lipstick, boy do I enjoy it. It is soft to go on and complements my eyeshadows very well. I am glad this was my sample choice. 

All in all, like I did say I loved my birchbox this month. Honestly I wish I would have gotten the beauty blender. Because I have heard those things are AMAZING! But I ordered it in my birchbox order :) So I am excited to try it. 

I would honestly suggest birchbox to anyone and everyone. Eventhough the samples are not all makeup, you get a good supply of different stuff to try.

Glossybox September 2014 Box Review

Note: you will want to read till the end of the post for a fun surprise!

So long story short, every since I found out what was going to be in this box I haven't been able to stop talking about it. You can even ask my husband. I am pretty sure he was getting annoyed of me. I had to check the mail box everyday, as well as the front door. Just to make sure I wasn't going to waste any second that I could have enjoying this box. 

I first started subscribing to Glossybox a month ago. I loved my first box so much I HAD to stay subscribed! And boy was I glad I did!

I think for the size of the product you get 21 dollars is a way good price. And I am nothing but happy with my box!

So today I get home from work and I grabbed the mail key and I rushed to my mail box. In the mailbox there was a key for another one, so that meant there was a package here! I was hoping it was my glossybox. When I unlocked the other mailbox, there was a huge package in it. not the normal glossybox package. I looked to see who it was addressed to, and to my surprise it was addressed to me, and it was from none other than glossybox! I wondered why they needed to put a package in such a big box. But I thought eh whatever I will roll with it. I ran back home and basically ripped open the box. To my surprise there was not only one, but TWO glossybox's for me!!! Guys TWO!!! I only paid for one. I even checked my bank records. Today was a really weird day for me so this was definatly the pick me up I needed. 

But anyways, back to what this post is suppoed to be about. Reviewing the box :)

(I am going to apologize in advanced for the crappy pictures, I am trying my best. I am just getting started with this whole blogging thing.)

I really liked the out side of the box. Just black and white. Simple. 

The inside looked exactly like the other one. You open it up and there is the product card I guess you would call it. I am all for things looking nice and classy so I really liked the black and white look.

So then I pulled back the tissue paper to see my items. Even though I already knew what I was getting, it was still exciting to unveil the box I guess you would say.

Five products! Not just five, but two full size products and the rest Iare pretty decent sample size. 

Plus again it all just looks so pretty.

Item number one: The Essie Nail Laquer; in the color She's Pampered

Retails at 8.50

I have never tried Essie nail colors before so I am actually really excited to paint my nails with it! I have painted one nail. As I always do when I get a new nail polish, and it is a pinky red color. Which honestly I think is so great! It will go good with a lot of what I wear. It doesn't go on clumpy and I just overall like it. The only down side to it is that in a lot of my subscription boxes lately I have been reciving nail polish. Most of them have been pink colors. Luckily this is more on the red side than the pink side of things.  Also this is full sized! I love getting full sized products!

The next item: Benefit Cosmetics They're Real Mascara

Full size retail: 23.00

So I have heard great things about this mascara. I was a little secptical about it at first, becasue I LOVE the mascara I currently use and to be honest, I don't like to try new mascaras. I thought, this is a little sample so I might as well try it out. I also thought might as well use it becasue I have the full sized push up eyeliner and I like it so why not try the mascara. Guys..... I LOVE it! Not only does it volumize, it lengthens. It went on smooth and not clumpy. And it is black. I love black mascara. I am not one for the brown or black brown. So this is good stuff. I am thinking about buying the full size.

The third product: Bvlgari Eau Parfumee Au The Vert Conditioner

Full size retail: 45.00

So another conditioner..... I have conditoner samples up to my ears. Like literally. It makes it nice because I literally never have to buy conditioner again, but you know, when you get to much of one product.... sometime the excitment just wears off. Honestly the only thing I have done is smelled it. It actually smells really good. I will use it and I will see how I like it. It does however have a lot of good things in it such as jasmine and green tea extract. It is a really good size to obviously not full size, but like a travel size. :)

The next item in the box: Vichy Liftactiv Night

Full size reatil: 50.00

This is one of the items I was most excited about! The size is like a travel size. It like a face moisturizer for night time. Which I need one. The smell is nice, and the texture...... is not what I expected. It is thick.... it feels like that slimy slim I use to play with as a kid. But once you start rubbing it in, it thins out and it feels very nice on my skin. 

The last product: Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar; Matte in the color Black Dahlia

Full retail price: 18.00

sorry for the crappy picture... heh

but this item is the number one item I had been waiting for to come to me! I am IN LOVE with lip product, Trying new lip stuff makes me so happy! And to top it off it is full size. This items alone basically pays for the box. As you can imagine, this was the first thing I took out of the packaging and I ran to my bathroom to get it on my lips. This lip product is AMAZING!!!! The color is great!!! It is a very nice dark red, kinda reminds of of a cherry dr pepper or cherry coke color. Perfect for fall! When you put it on your lips a little goes a LONG way. I just put the littlest ammount on lip brush that comes with it and it seriously had enough product on it for my lips. I am IN LOVE with it! Even if the rest of my box was crap (thank goodness it isn't) this lip tar would make up for EVERYTHING! That is seriously how much I love it! 

This box was a GREAT one! The 21.00 I paid was ABSOLUTELY worht it! I give this box a 9/10. That is pretty high for a rating!
